Treatment & support in the ANS Clinic

The ANS Clinic sees itself as a companion for people with chronic diseases and disorders that affect the autonomic nervous system. In the treatment and accompaniment of chronic diseases that involve the vegetative organs or the autonomic nervous system, we prepare ourselves to support you diagnostically and therapeutically over a long period of time. We know that, especially in the case of chronic diseases, functional improvements do not succeed overnight, but require patience and perseverance. In the case of autonomic dysfunction, this is due on the one hand to the fact that nerve regeneration, for example in the case of polyneuropathies, can be a lengthy process. On the other hand, the training of reflexes and functions of vegetative organs such as circulation, intestines and bladder requires the guidance, constant repetition and patience of those affected and their relatives.

We will support you

Recommendations on behavior to alleviate vegetative complaints can, for example, necessitate a change in habits or a new structure of the daily routine. This works better with an understandable plan, reliable support and guidance.

One advantage of the support provided by the ANS Clinic is the constant checking of the success of the treatment and the adaptation of the recommendations and treatment concepts. Our experience with the ANS Clinic shows that there is usually more than one path to the goal. As different as the complaints of the autonomic nervous system and vegetative organs can be, the choice of a suitable treatment and behavioral recommendation can be just as individual.

Our recommendations only have a lasting positive effect if you find them a permanent place in your everyday life. Since the understanding of illness and therapy is a key to the success of the treatment of vegetative complaints, training for patients and relatives is a central component of the therapy support at the ANS Clinic. This will help you to better classify the symptoms of your illnesses. In this way, joint decision-making succeeds, which can also meet the individual desire for more therapy or less therapy.

A strong network

For many of our patients, exchanges with people who are equally affected have proven to be helpful and useful. This is especially true for rare causes of disorders and diseases of the autonomic nervous system. As far as we know, there is currently no patient organization for people with disorders of the vegetative organs or diseases of the autonomic nervous system. However, we keep in contact with several patient organizations that campaign for diseases such as Parkinson's, polyneuropathy, diabetes and others that can be associated with disorders of the vegetative organs or diseases of the autonomic nervous system. You can find the links there under patient organisations on this website.

A diary for you

We experience that people with chronic disorders of the autonomic nervous system or vegetative organs are sensitive and reliable observers of your body in the course of their illness and can often become competent managers of your illness. In addition, a diary specially developed for patients at the ANS Clinic facilitates the documentation of vegetative complaints, pain and abnormal sensations in the course of the disease.

Your diary - ANS Clinic App

You may have already noticed that describing vegetative ailments can be difficult, especially when they are varied and changeable. The ANS-Clinic app helps you keep track of things and make changes visible. Diary by APP is easy to use on a day-to-day basis; here in the ANS-Clinic, it is tailored to your complaints personally for you. All notes stay with you. You can generate a report whenever you want. This will help you keep track of the progress of your illness. If you decide to give your doctor an overview, you can create a report for a period of time that you want.
